Livestreaming

Corona is over

Even in the post-Corona era, our recording studio offers the ideal opportunity to reach not only the audience on site, but also numerous loyal fans all over the world. With our audio and video recordings, you can capture the concert at the highest technical level and thus get the maximum benefit from your studio gig. Let's carry your music out into the world together!

Lightshow

If you attach great importance to a coordinated light show, then you have the opportunity to program an individual show in advance. Several moving heads, LED bars, LED spotlights, a laser, hazer etc. are available, and for control either a WOLFMIX W1 or a PC with DASLIGHT 5.

Audio

We will make the recordings here with up to 32 tracks, independent of the PA sound, which gets its own mix. The fans in the hall and on the web should each have an optimal sound experience. In-Ear Monitoring is best here, but you should of course feel comfortable and we can also use one or the other monitor box. Technically, we always go with DI outputs into the desk if possible, even if the killer guitar sound only comes via the guitar amp speaker. If that is a knockout criterion, we use the Kemper and preserve the unique sounds beforehand as individual Kemper Rigs. For the drums, you can use a Roland TD30 or of course mic up your beloved acoustic set.
The individual tracks are of course available afterwards for further processing, if desired, as a multi-track project and can be optimized with overdubs, effects, and mastering.
The stereo mix sound for the livestream is mixed together and sent to the video desk, where it is delayed by a few milliseconds so that it is synchronous with the camera images.

Video

We usually start with at least 3 cameras for the total (fixed), the singer(s) and soloists (manned) and a center shot (fixed). We can scale this up to 8 cameras with fixed installation or 6 fixed and 2 manned. All cameras are connected to a video mixer (Blackmagic ATEM Mini Extreme ISO) and a director decides during the livestream which image is broadcast.

The video/audio stream is then buffered by the ATEM Mini video mixer and then streamed directly to the Internet (Zoom, Youtube, Facebook, etc.).

Of course, we can record the entire stream as well as the individual camera streams in Full HD plus the audio signal. The project is of course saved as a DaVinci Resolve project and we or you can then cut the best parts into a live video.

Effort

As always, there are several alternatives here:
Minimal Effort
We use up to 4 fixed cameras, so no cameraman. 1 director at the video desk who is also responsible for the studio sound. The director sits in the event room. The streaming sound is only set and checked before the event.

Normal Effort
We use up to 5 fixed cameras and one with a cameraman. 1 director at the video desk is responsible for the video stream and the streaming sound. The director sits acoustically separated in a separate room and enjoys and controls the livestream a few milliseconds later. 1 technician is responsible for the live sound. 1 technician is responsible for the light show.

Pro Show
With 2 manned cameras you are already in the professional range. Separate technicians for light, audio live and audio hall, as well as a director for the livestream is already a certain luxury ... but there is no upper limit.

Equipment

The mixing console is a Presonus 32R mixer as a stage box or complete mixer.
The PA from KS Audio with CPD1 and CPD B2 or KS Audio Session are completely sufficient to produce a crystal clear powerful sound in the studio.
The cameras are from Blackmagic (Pocket Cinema 4k) as well as Panasonic (GH 4 4K) and Sony (Alpha 7 SII and Alpha 7RV) each with numerous lenses.
The video mixer is a Blackmagic ATEM Mini Extreme ISO with 8 video inputs (HDMI). As a compromise, 1-2 remote-controlled DJI gimbals can also be used to minimize the number of camera operators.
The technicians/director can of course also be from you and do not have to be employed by us.

Planning

The more elaborate and complex such a project is intended to be, the more intensive the previous planning must be. To get a first impression of the effort, result and costs, it makes sense that we have a phone call or a meeting beforehand. Of course, there are no costs for this.
